This is an action for divorce commenced by the plaintiff-respondent wife in October of 1965, upon the grounds of cruel and
inhuman treatment. In August of 1967, judgment was entered awarding a divorce to the plaintiff and providing for a division
of estate, permanent alimony, support money for a minor child and attorneys' fees. When the parties were married in 1935, they were both twenty-one years old. Neither had any separate estate nor assets. By
means of a variety of jobs and business ventures by both parties they were able to accumulate a considerable amount of property
by the time this action was commenced. The trial court concluded the parties had stipulated that the net assets of the parties,
exclusive of their personal possessions and effects and other personal property, were $200,000.
